Remember When?

It is hard to believe a year has gone by since the words COVID and Pandemic became part of our daily vocabulary. Who would have thought that a year later we would still be suffering the consequences of this terrible virus.

With that in mind, it has caused me to remember when masks were worn only by medical personnel. Now we all need to wear them to enter stores and public places. Remember when we could give hugs and handshakes to our friends and loved ones? Remember when we could attend church and other public gatherings and sit right next to our friends? Remember how good it was to join friends at a local restaurant or celebrate a birthday or anniversary?

The list of remembrances goes on and on with one of the saddest losses being able to celebrate the lives of friends and family who passed this past year by not attending a service in their honor. The day will come when we can also look back and remember these days when our daily lives were restricted.
